Fuel Good Day 2025

Our BIGGEST fundraising event of the year is here! Fuel Good Day is back, and we’re excited to partner with the Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation (NDHF) for the fourth year!

What is Fuel Good Day?

Each year, Mid Island Co-op partners with a local, community-focused organization to raise funds to support their mission. There are two big ways to get involved with Fuel Good Day: fuel up or purchase donation squares.

Fuelling Up

On Fuel Good Day, Tuesday, September 16, all Mid Island Gas Bar locations donate 10¢ for every litre of gas sold. No special code needed, just fill your tank.

Donation Squares

From September 2-16, purchase donation squares at any Mid Island Gar Bar or Mid Island Liquor locations, or Code Brew Café located in the Nanaimo Hospital. Round up your purchase total or add on a few dollars; you can choose the amount to donate. Don’t forget to fill out your square and tell us what makes you “fuel good”!

Why NDHF?

We’ve partnered with the Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation for four consecutive years because we believe in the work they’re doing to bring accessible healthcare to Vancouver Island. The Nanaimo Hospital serves over 460,000 people living in the Central and North Island, and funding will help support the purchase of new medical equipment. Having access to modern equipment shortens wait times and allows Island-residents to stay closer to home to receive the care they need. For more information about the NDHF, visit their website.
